Daily Affirmations



Daily Affirmations: I am taking control of my life. I make my happiness a priority.


If you have people-pleasing tendencies, as many of us do, it can be easy to get so caught up in others' needs that we forget our own. Remember, your wants and needs matter just as much as anyone else's.


This can be especially true of moms and other caregivers, who have a lot of responsibility for others. When we have kids, we have a tendency to wrap our lives around theirs, and lose sight of who we are as people.


Being a good mom doesn't mean that you need to neglect yourself. You don't have to spend every waking minute catering to the kids or your spouse. It is OK to have your own interests, and to spend time pursuing them.


True, this may mean learning how to balance your time differently, or asking others to be more independent. That isn't a bad thing, and you shouldn't feel guilty or selfish.


Don't take on too much responsibility for other people's happiness at the expense of your own. You will only end up resentful and burned out.


Having a well-balanced life takes time to create, but it is so worth it! It is OK to leave the kids with a babysitter sometimes, or to ask your partner to help around the house. Putting some of the responsibilities on other people can help you create balance in your life.
