Daily Affirmations: I am safe in my body and my surroundings. I am treated with kindness and respect.


Feeling safe where you are is one of the most basic needs that all of us has. If you have repeatedly had to endure unsafe situations, it can make you feel bad about yourself and corrode your trust in others.


Learning that most people are safe, that they will treat you with the kindness that you deserve, can be a difficult lesson for some of us.


No one should constantly have to live in fear. That isn't what life is about. It is hard to learn and grow when you are constantly afraid of the world around you.


Developing a sense of safety, a trust in your own capabilities, and a belief in the good of others can help you to more forward in life.


If a person, place or situation is making you feel unsafe, you have the right to set a boundary or walk away, and that should be respected.


There is so much goodness in the world, you deserve to be able to find it. Stop staying in places where all you experience is pain an chaos. This can allow you to begin to heal.


You can't get well in the same place you got sick. Remember, you have a right to a good life, and to be treated well by others. Make sure you stand up for yourself, and see that others treat you with kindness and respect.
