Daily Positive Affirmations. I am excited for the opportunities life brings me.
There are so many wonderful opportunities unfolding around us every day. We get to decide daily which path we are going to follow. There is so much beauty in life, we get to appreciate what is around us. Life is beautiful when we are looking for hope and opportunity, with excitement in our eyes.
Each day, we have a choice about how we are going to approach the world, and our day. When we are filled with excitement and hope, it is easier to find the good. When we are sad and depressed, we find things to confirm our depression.
In psychology, this is called confirmation bias. We look for things to confirm our beliefs and our mood, and our minds gravitate towards those things. No one wants their beliefs challenged. That is why our thoughts and our mindset is so important. Happy people look for things to confirm their happiness. Sad people look for things to confirm their sadness.
So, if you want to find all of the beautiful opportunities that life has to offer, you have to believe that they exist and be looking for them.
Daily Positive Affirmations. I forgive myself for my mistakes. Forgiving ourselves can be very difficult at times. When we make mistakes, especially with our kids, it can sometimes feel like the world is coming to an end. As a mother, so much of my identity is wrapped up in my kids. When I argue with them, it makes me feel like I have failed as a mother and as a person. Forgiveness can be a struggle, but it is necessary for our healing. Sometimes it can be easier to forgive others than ourselves. We easily forgive those we love, because we value our relationships. It is important to remember that our first relationship is with ourselves. Being a self-hating person doesn't help us to love others, or to accomplish anything. It doesn't allow us to move forward. By forgiving ourselves, we extend the same grace that we give to others. We are just as human as anyone else, and we deserve our own forgiveness and love. Love yourself more, forgive yourself for mistakes, and promise to do better tomorrow. Are there things that you need to forgive yourself for today? You can let me know in the comments, or have a long journal session or do a meditation to work through it. If you are still struggling, you can talk to a therapist.
