Daily Positive Affirmations 4.16.23
Daily positive affirmations. I release attachment to outcomes.
When we attach ourselves to outcomes in our situations, this is the cause of our suffering, according to Buddhism. When we release our attachments, then we can melt like the boundless drop into the boundless ocean.
When we release the self and its needs and cravings, then we can find true peace and contentment.
Still we become caught up in our needs and cravings. We become so attached to one outcome that we can't see the potential good in others.
It is difficult to release these cravings and attachments. That is the cause of our suffering. We don't know what will be left if we cease to crave.
Learning to extinguish these needs is a lifetime journey. Yet it is the path to true enlightenment. If you seek to become enlightened, you must leave the need for everything else behind. Yet it is difficult.
We know the answer, but we don't understand the path. We don't understand how to release these attachments. We get caught up in the fear of letting go.
Yet holding on makes us fearful too. We are afraid of losing the things that we have. We fear losing people and situations that are near and dear to our hearts.
We must learn to love in a deeper way, to love without holding on. If you love something, set it free. We all need that freedom.
Today, I seek to release my own attachments to outcomes, to situations and people. I seek to become enlightened. Do you seek the same?
