Affirmations are a great way to start the day.

Daily Positive Affirmations. I am awake and energized.


Being energized and ready for the day helps us to do what needs to be done.


We can get energy in many ways, getting proper sleep, maintaining our health, taking vitamins, or starting the day with yoga and meditation. These are just a few ways to energize for your morning.


When you start off the day with self care or doing something that you enjoy, it sets you up for success for the rest of the day.


I make self-care a priority first thing, so that I am ready to do whatever needs to be done. You can't pour from an empty cup, so it is important to start the day with something that fills yours.


I used to just roll out of bed and go to work right away, but it left me feeling groggy more often than not. Taking time for yourself, even if it means getting up earlier, helps to set the tone for the day.


That is why proper sleep is important too. In order to get up earlier, it may mean going to bed earlier too. That way, you aren't feeling tired all day.


Taking care of yourself - mind, body and spirit - helps you to have more energy overall.
