Daily positive affirmations. I have compassion for myself. I accept my flaws.
As humans, we are all creatures with flaws. No one is perfect. Accepting that is an act of compassion for yourself, as is removing the pressure to be perfect.
When we have compassion for ourselves, and accept ourselves as we are, it can open us up to so much possibility.
Instead of trying endlessly to be perfect and endlessly feeling disappointed, we can have compassion for ourselves as we are. We can have acceptance.
A big "ah-ha" moment for me came when I decided to accept that I have a mental illness, and I might never be able to be "normal." It took all the pressure off. It allowed me to learn to appreciate myself as I am.
Just because we are all flawed, it doesn't make us any less beautiful or deserving of love.
No matter what it is that you don't like about yourself, you deserve compassion and love. That starts with you, and with learning to love and have compassion for yourself.
It is hard for anyone else to love you if you aren't even able to love yourself. You need to give yourself your own validation first. External validation is unreliable at best.
Learning to love yourself first, best and always goes a long way toward creating a positive mindset and a happy life. You don't have to be perfect to be happy. The idea of perfection is a lie that you need to let go of.
The more you can learn to accept and have compassion for yourself, the more joy will flow into your life.
I wish you a blessed day today, my lovelies.
