When you are working hard towards a goal, it is important to stop and appreciate all your hard work. Acknowledge yourself. Celebrate yourself.
Doing something good for yourself when you complete a difficult task helps to reinforce your goal directed actions.
Give yourself a reward, like a nice cup of coffee, or time to read a good book. It allows you to enjoy the fact that you have worked so hard.
Remember, hard work is a means to an end, and don't overwork yourself.
Trying your best is important, but you don't want to push too hard and hit burnout either. That is why it is so important to take time to stop and appreciate all you do.
Think of yourself like a good friend. Congratulate yourself for your accomplishments. Do something positive for yourself.
Make sure that you aren't putting too many items on your to-do list, so that it is achievable every day.
You want to make sure that you are making incremental progress every day, at a rate that is sustainable.
Also, remember that your best is going to vary from day to day. Some days you will get more done than others. And that is natural.
Take some time today to celebrate your wins, celebrate how far you have come on this journey. Reward yourself for all of your hard work!
