Looking for Last Minute Gifts?

Are you one of those people that puts off Christmas shopping until the last minute? Or, remembers that there are relatives attending the Christmas dinner that you didn't know were invited? If so, not to worry! You can still get some gifts for them without having to brave the mall.

You can still shop on Amazon and get Christmas gifts through December 23rd with Prime shipping. If you aren't a Prime member, you can sign up on a monthly basis and cancel any time. It may be worth the money to save yourself the headache of standing in line for Christmas at the mall, or going to Walmart.

Or, if you want something a bit more personal, you can take a page out of my daughter's book and make some home made Christmas cookies for friends and family. If you like baking, you could also make things like fudge or peanut brittle. Anything home made is sure to be a favorite!

However if you are more like me, and not much of a baker yourself, you could get your baked goods from a local bakery or supermarket. Other great gifts can be things like gift baskets full of sausages and cheese. Or, you could make your own fruit basket full or apples, oranges, pineapple, or other favorites.

Bottles of wine also make great gifts for friends and family. You can stop by your local liquor store or supermarket to buy some bottles of Christmas wine, or Champagne. If they don't drink it on Christmas, then they can have it for the New Year's Eve party.

If you aren't sure what to get for your friends and family, a gift card is a great option too. You can typically pick these up at the supermarket checkout, or you can buy an e-gift card, which is delivered through email with a redemption code. Then, your loved ones can pick up their own gifts after the New Year when shops are less busy.

In the same vein, cash and lotto tickets also make great holiday gifts. Kids love being able to pick something out for themselves. Adults and teens also love getting cash, that way, they can use it for a nice dinner out, or to pay some bills. That way, you aren't just getting something that they may not use.

So, if you haven't finished your shopping yet, not to worry! You still have options for your shopping. Depending on your local area, many stores are open up through the afternoon on Christmas eve, too!
