Reflecting on the End of the Year 2022

It is the end of 2022 and many of us are looking back at the previous year and thinking about what went right or wrong for us. We are thinking about what we have accomplished this year, and what we hope to accomplish for next year.
Every year at new year's I make a vision board and think about what I want my life to look like. I reflect on all that the old year has been, and what I want for the future.
It is a good time to revisit your goals and intentions, and to think about what you have completed. Hopefully there are things that you can check off your list from last year, but if you are anything like me, there may be things that are left outstanding or still in progress.
For the things that are still in progress, it is a great time to think of a new plan and figure out how to tackle them in a different way.
There are several things that go into making your dreams into a reality:
Intentions
An intention is like the vision that you have for your life. It is the idea that you want to use to shape your future.
According to Law of Attraction,
There's no limit to what you can focus on in a personal vision statement. Whether you want love, financial abundance, your dream job, or something else entirely, your goal is to capture it in words. It can be helpful to think of the statement as a kind of guiding image of what you're working to manifest. Create the picture that exists as an inspirational reference point and gives you direction.
The first step toward being able to realize your dreams is to know what they are. With your intentions, or personal vision statement as it is called here, you will know what you want to achieve. This gives you the direction for your life's path.
Once you know what you really want, and how that relates to who you are and who you want to be, you will be able to set goals that are aligned to your intentions and values.
Goal Setting
Many times we have either set goals and forgotten about them, not made them a priority in our lives, or set goals that are too difficult.
When you make a vision board, or write out your goals and put them somewhere visible, you can make sure that you are doing something on a daily basis to work towards your goals.
If you work on your goals a little bit each day or each week, and block out time for it on the calendar, you are more likely to keep the goals in the forefront of your mind than if you just write them at the new year and forget about them.
SMART Goals
Another way to work on your goals is by setting SMART Goals. This can help you to make sure that you are making your goals:
Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Realistic
Time Bound
This way, you can really drill down on your goals and make sure that you will easily be able to meet them.
In the New Year
As you go into the new year, it is a good time to get clear on what you really want for yourself. The world is hibernating, and life is quiet after the holidays. You can take some time to really reflect thoughtfully on your life.
For me, I have always set aside some quiet time on New Year's Eve before the festivities begin to journal about the last year and how I am feeling about everything that has happened during the year. Journaling allows us to get in touch with our inner thoughts and feelings and to get them down on paper.
You can free write about anything that comes to your mind, or you can look back at your goals for the last year and write about if you have met them or not. Then, you can look into the reasons that you may not have met your goals.
For example, it was my goal to learn to speak German this year. But I didn't have realistic expectations. I thought that if I took one class and used my Duolingo app then it would be enough. However, it just gave me a basic understanding without a wide vocabulary. So for the next year, I need to look at better strategies to work on becoming more proficient.
Your goals can be anything that you want, that will make your life happier and more fulfilling. You may want to learn a new skill, get a new job, move house, or work on your personal development. Whatever the case, you can reflect on how the past year has gone with your goals.
When you see what worked and what didn't, you can apply the strategies that worked for one goal last year to goals that you want to complete this year.
For me, that means, taking lessons learned and applying them. You may want to develop personal qualities in yourself or have a more physical result. Whatever the case, this is a good time to think about what you have done this year that can apply to next year.
It is also important to celebrate your wins, and this is a good time to do that. When you have your new year celebration, think with gratitude about everything that you have accomplished! This allows you to feel gratitude and happiness about everything that went right.
Celebrating yourself and your accomplishments is important because it makes you happier and more fulfilled as a person. You aren't just all work. You have some playfulness too in your celebration.
Conclusion
As you look at your intentions and goals, and work on turning them into SMART goals, it is great to do some journaling and reflecting on the past. You can also make a vision board to help you in the future by keeping your goals in the forefront of your mind.
Also, don't forget to celebrate your wins, so that your achievements will truly mean something for you in the long term.
I wish you all the best in the coming year, my lovelies!
