Stop Letting Your Feelings Control Your Mindset


Do you ever wake up feeling sad and afraid? Do you want to just crawl back into bed and pull the blankets up over yourself again? Do you feel like giving up and giving in?


Sometimes, it feels easy to give into negative feelings, and start talking to yourself in a negative way. When you are sad and depressed, it can feel like you are under water, like you are drowning under the weight of your tears.


Even on these days when you feel down and depressed, you can find the strength inside yourself to keep going. You can transcend your feelings, and find reasons to keep going.


You may want to try practicing gratitude, using affirmations, or listening to an uplifting video or podcast.


There is so much motivation out there in the world, if you take the time to look for it.


It is ok to feel your feelings, but don't attach to them.


Don't let your feelings determine what you do, or what you are willing to commit yourself to. No matter how bad you feel, it is possible to pull yourself up and keep going. You just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other.


Even if all you can do is get up and take a shower, do that. If you are too tired for a shower, wash your face. When you do, smile at yourself in the mirror. A smile is a form of self-care and can turn your day around.


Let yourself go slowly. You don't have to move fast. You can take time for rest when you need it. Being gentle with yourself shows self-love and self-care.


Make sure that you treat yourself like the beautiful soul that you are, you are deserving of all the good things that life has to offer, even if it doesn't feel that way at times!


It is never too late

Sometimes in life you may feel like you have let all the opportunities in life pass you by. You may feel like you failed, and like problems aren't fixable.


It is normal to feel that way when life has let you down, or you have let yourself down.


Still, you are still alive. You are still standing. That means you still have a chance to make a difference, and to make a new life for yourself.
