Sometimes it can be difficult to forgive the past so that you can achieve healing. There are people and situations that have harmed us, and we can be filled with regrets.
Holding onto regret and beating yourself up isn't doing you any favors. When you hold onto resentment, it stops you from appreciating all the good in your life.
In order to move forward in life, you need to forgive yourself for past mistakes. This can take the form of a long journal session, going to therapy, or working on limiting beliefs.
As we learn to let go from all of the negativity that is holding us back, we can grow into happier and more whole people.
Everyone makes mistakes. No matter how bad of a mistake you made it is still important to forgive yourself. Otherwise, you are just going to be drowning in self-blame, and shaming yourself about things you can't change.
Look for solutions to problems instead of looking for blame. When we blame, it doesn't help anyone, and keeps us stuck in the past and unable to move on.
When we intentionally seek healing and peace for ourselves, we will be able to begin healing the scars that the past has left us.
Healing takes work and conscious effort, but it will bring you peace in the end.
