Daily Affirmations: I listen to my body. I allow myself to rest.

During this busy holiday season, it is important to be aware of how you are feeling, both physically and mentally. Take a minute and do a quick body scan. How are you feeling this morning?

If you are tired, make time for rest. It is also important to take extra time for self-care if you are feeling run down. Take extra vitamins. Caring for your health this time of year is so important!

You may have a lot to do caring for others and preparing for the holidays. Just remember, you can't pour from an empty cup. You need to prioritize your own health and wellbeing.

Whatever that looks like for you, make sure that you are doing things that you enjoy, instead of doing everything out of a sense of obligation.

Don't "should" yourself. There is no "right" way to have the holidays. You need to find what works for you and your family. That may mean saying no to some requests or invitations. That is perfectly ok.

Your mental health always needs to come first. By prioritizing yourself and your health, you avoid getting sick or burnt out this time of year.
