Getting Certified as a Life Coach

Have you ever wanted to be a life coach and help other people to achieve what they want out of life? Do you want to be able to coach people through difficult situations? Do you want to make a difference and impact change?

When you decide to coach, you have to do a lot of self work and make sure that you are feeling at your best so that you will be best able to help others. It is like the old adage says,

Healer, heal thyself.

Before you can help other people, you have to help yourself first. So, I have been working on all of my triggers and limiting beliefs, as well as goal setting.

What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro-linguistic programming. It is a method of using the unconscious mind to be able to reprogram unhelpful beliefs and attitudes. You can get rid of limiting beliefs and reprogram them to more helpful beliefs. According to Good Therapy,

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a psychological approach that involves analyzing strategies used by successful individuals and applying them to reach a personal goal. It relates thoughts, language, and patterns of behavior learned through experience to specific outcomes.
Proponents of NLP assume all human action is positive. Therefore, if a plan fails or the unexpected happens, the experience is neither good nor bad — it simply presents more useful information.

Learning NLP is like a journey into your mind, that teaches you how to get into your unconscious mind to be able to be in the best frame of mind to get what you want out of life.

Intensive Goal Setting

In NLP, there is a focus on using goal setting in the SMART goals framework, however it adds additional dimensions to the typical smart goals framework. You set the goals As If Now. This means, when you write out your goals, you want to be sure to state the goal as if it is happening now. You want to state where you are when you achieve your goal.

For example, instead of saying,

“I want to be a millionaire.”

You would say,

“I am a millionaire.”

I found this very powerful, because this is the same way that you state your intentions when you are using the Law of Attraction to manifest your dream life. Both work with reprogramming your unconscious mind for success.

Also, in NLP goal setting, you look at the Ecology of the goal. This means, the effect that setting your goal would have on all areas of your life, on the people in your life, and on the world as a whole.

This means, making sure that you would have a positive impact with your goal not just for yourself but for others around you. This is a profound way to look at the interconnectedness of our world, and all the people around you. Is coaching right for you?

Taking this coaching program has felt very empowering for me, and I am ready to make an impact and help others around me.

I have always wanted to be able to help people, so this is a good fit for me. Would it be a good fit for you too?

If so, I would highly recommend looking into NLP life coaching! The program that I have been working through is also only $7 and it is self-paced online. I have enjoyed it so much that I would recommend it to anyone interested in life coaching with NLP.

You can become empowered and empower others too by learning to be a life coach and put your listening ear and compassionate heart to a good use. Note though, to receive your certification, they do tell you that once you complete your test it can take up to 28 days to receive the certification.

You don’t have to be certified to be a life coach

Although it is not required to be certified to be a life coach, I would recommend getting some type of instruction so that you are able to help people to the best of your ability.

In addition to NLP, there are many other types of life coaching certifications that you can work towards.

Do you want to be a life coach? If you like to help people and want to work with others on an intensive basis, this could be a great career for you in the future.
