Daily Affirmations: I release the pain of the past. I release my unmet needs. I live fully present in the now.


So often, our lives are determined by factors outside our control. Where we are born, our parents, social expectations, how we are treated by others, and more.


Still, we have a choice about how to react and how to move forward. We choose our attitudes, beliefs and values. We choose our goals and the ways that we work towards them.


So much of life is transient. When we try to hold on too tightly to a person, a job, or an idea, often it slips through our fingers like sand.


Stop trying to hold on. Be like an open hand, allowing things to come to you in the proper time.


Be present right now, right where you are. Allow yourself to find joy and peace in each moment. Find something to be grateful for.


Often, we have many blessings that we disregard in our search for something more. Learn to cherish the little things, the small moments that make life beautiful.


Feel the sun on your face, the wind in your hair, appreciate the smile of a child or a kind word from a stranger.


The more you learn to see the good in the small moments, the more blessed your existence will become. Take some time today to find gratitude, and allow it to fill your heart, if only for a moment.
