Daily Positive Affirmations. I choose kindness.
Sometimes, it can be difficult to choose kindness, especially if we have been treated wrongly by someone. Choosing to be kind is very intentional, and can have a major positive influence on our lives.
In life, we often search for a deeper meaning. This meaning can be found in the relationships that we have with others. Choosing kindness in our relationships can help us to cultivate deeper and more lasting relationships.
We can choose to be kind to everyone with whom we come in contact. Strangers, friends, co-workers, loved ones. When we are kind to others, it allows for the creation of trust in relationships.
We can also choose to be kind to ourselves. This means, giving ourselves grace when we make mistakes. Also, taking time to rest when we need it. Setting boundaries is also being kind to ourselves.
We don't have to choose between being kind to ourselves and kind to others. Kindness shouldn't be a sacrifice. It should be a natural outpouring of our inner spirit.
When we set a boundary with someone, that doesn't mean we are being unkind. At times, we have to protect our own inner space. Telling people no at times doesn't mean that we are being unkind to them. We can say no in ways that still honor our relationships. It all has to do with the way that we present our no. It is important to remember in these cases that we may have to say no to avoid facilitating learned helplessness in others. When we tell them no, and make them rely on themselves, that can be a kindness too.
Kindness is one of the values that I hold most deeply in my heart. I feel like it serves to greatly enrich my life and the lives of those around me.
I wish you a blessed day, my lovelies.
