Taking time for rest and self-care is crucial for our mental health and wellbeing. It allows us to recharge from a busy week, and to be feeling our best.
Rest is just as important as motion. Our bodies and our minds need rest, and things like self-care and proper sleep help us to stay physically healthy as well.
Having proper sleep is a huge contributing factor to our overall health, and if we don't get proper sleep on a regular basis, not only are we tired, it can lead to other health problems as well.
Prioritizing proper sleep is one way that we can take care of ourselves mentally and physically, and easily improve our overall health.
Rest is similar to sleep. When we are constantly on the move, it can wear us down and lead to burnout if we don't take time to rest and recharge.
There are many different ways that we can incorporate rest and self-care into the day. Each day, choose a type of self-care that fits with your mood for the day. You can do yoga, meditation, spend time with friends, read a good book, take a nap, or a host of other things.
