Daily positive affirmations. I deserve to be happy.
Everyone deserves to be happy. You don't have to achieve anything to be worthy of happiness. You are already worthy, just as you are. It is your nature as a human being to be worthy of happiness. It isn't a right that has to be earned.
For the longest time, I thought that I wasn't even capable of being happy. I thought that I was a bad person, and that I was being punished for some invisible wrong doing. Not true.
When I finally surrounded myself with better people, I saw that I was capable of being happy. Small things made me happy. Simple acts of kindness, and the beauty in the world around me.
If you are unhappy, ask yourself, what limiting beliefs are creating your unhappiness? In what areas of your life are you thinking badly of yourself? In many ways, our thoughts create our reality. When we have limiting beliefs, like mine about unhappiness, often they are ingrained by things we have been told in childhood. When people say bad things to us again and again, eventually those things become our inner monologue. If you still have those negative people in your life, that can be a piece of your unhappiness too.
Once we begin to believe that we are worthy of happiness, then we can learn to set boundaries with negative people. Like that saying goes, "Before you diagnose yourself with depression, make sure that you aren't just surrounded by assholes." This was so true for me. Is it true for you?
