Living fully present in the moment, through mindfulness and other practices, allows us to find happiness and peace.
When we are mindful, we release judgement and are present with the current situation. We release judgement in favor of acceptance.
Finding acceptance for myself and my day to day situation has allowed me to live a happier, more peaceful life.
When we accept ourselves and our circumstances, we release self-judgements that can be very harmful to our state of mind.
For me, it was learning to accept my mental health issues, and that they may always be a part of my experiences. I stopped judging myself for how I felt, and accepted it. That allowed my negative thoughts and feelings to melt away.
Sure, we are all going to have bad days sometimes. It is natural to feel how we feel. Accepting those feelings allows them to pass more quickly, so that we can return to our natural, peaceful state.
For me, acceptance of myself and my circumstances has led to a happier and more peaceful life. I hope that this can be the same for you.
