Daily Positive Affirmations for August 2022

Affirmations to start the day

When you say affirmations each morning, it can be a great way to help you create a positive mindset and become happier every day.


Affirmations are powerful, positive messages that you say to yourself. These help to counteract negative thinking, by saying something good to yourself.


Typically, I say affirmations first thing in the morning. This helps to set a positive tone for the rest of the day.


If you say your affirmations while looking at yourself in the mirror, it can have an additional positive effect.


According to Inc.com,

The technique asks that you stand before a large mirror to see your face and upper body. Staring into your own eyes, you verbalize and speak out loud who you would like to be, or what you want to have or do. While looking in the mirror, you give yourself a pep talk and shift your mindset with authority.
"By using the mirror...you are creating a picture of yourself, your words, the sound of your voice, and your sight of the audience, to which the immediate future is to bring reality," Bristol writes.
And, the author explains, "By looking into the mirror, you increase the mental vibrations by which the force and meaning of your words will quickly penetrate to your audience's subconscious minds."
You are your own audience--don't forget to remind yourself of your own strength, confidence, and abilities.

You can also keep affirmation cards on your desk, or have affirmation posters throughout your house. This gives you a positive focus any time you need a positive statement to be readily available throughout the day.
